The Challenge
A fast-growing e-commerce retailer was struggling with an aging, monolithic on-premise infrastructure. During peak sales events, server crashes were frequent, resulting in significant lost revenue. They needed to migrate to a scalable cloud environment without disrupting ongoing operations or compromising customer data security.
Our Solution
We engineered a seamless transition to a modern, containerized AWS environment, accelerated by AI-assisted DevOps workflows.
- AI-Assisted Infrastructure as Code: We used AI coding assistants to rapidly generate and validate Terraform scripts, cutting infrastructure provisioning time in half.
- Microservices Containerization: We decoupled the monolith into a microservices architecture orchestrated by Kubernetes (EKS), allowing individual services (like checkout or search) to scale independently.
- Zero-Downtime Cutover: We implemented a blue-green deployment strategy, routing traffic gradually to the new cloud infrastructure to ensure stability before full cutover.
